BETSA® Vaccum Chamber
[EAV001]
The BESTA® vacuum chamber
was designed for heated DACs!
Whether you use Betsa or other brands, our adapters allow for the integration of any Diamond Anvil Cell for high-temperature research (internal or external heating). A vacuum chamber is required to secure your diamonds and optimize results. Note that higher temperatures demand a stricter vacuum to protect your hardware and certify experiment quality.
Features
Versatile Vacuum Chamber for High-Temperature DAC Experiments
Overview & Compatibility
Designed for precision and flexibility, this vacuum chamber is engineered to host Diamond Anvil Cells (DAC), specifically optimized for BETSA® MDAC and EHS X-Ray setups. It features a robust 304 Stainless Steel body with a sandblasted internal finish. The system offers a symmetrical working distance of 31.5mm (with 7mm flange) and generous optical openings of 67° and 73°, ensuring optimal data collection for X-Ray diffraction.
Thermal & Vacuum Performance
The chamber supports a wide temperature range from 20°C up to 1350°C, compatible with both Internal (IHS) and External Heating Systems (EHS). To ensure sample integrity and equipment safety, the vacuum integrity is secured by high-quality O-ring seals and a JIS-VG Ø25mm interface for pumping systems. The unit includes specific feedthroughs for Helium and Noxal gases, as well as standard 1/16" capillaries.
Connectivity & Customization
Equipped with reliable Fischer connectors, the chamber provides 6 power lines (28A Max) and 6 measurement lines, allowing for parallel configurations. Users can customize the setup with interchangeable BK7 or BaF2 windows (2mm thick), additional viewports, and specific access flanges (7mm or 11mm). The internal furnace support is removable and adaptable, ensuring the chamber meets the specific needs of your experimental configuration.
